-Green Street - all young, fast, athletic, skilled players - maybe many of them play on too many teams?
-Azzurri - In a bit of a spiral/ not the same form as in first half - will they recoup behind talented striker Ryan Wilson??
-Calpex - many talented individual players - can they be more cohesive and knock out a giant or two?
-Digsy - AKA 'Draw-sy' 4 ties in 5 games is bitter sweet right there will all the top teams but not racking up the points - can they get over the hump?
-LA United - struggle to keep the ball out of their net - whats next for them?

Who will win A league and tournament? who will have the momentum through the long grueling final stretch of summer?

I bought a pair of the Total 90 Laser III a couple weeks ago online, but I think they're a bit too big for me. I've only used them in one game so far and they're in great condition. I got them for about $180, so I'd be willing to sell them for $90. They're a really comfortable pair of shoes, with memory foam inside the upper. The fins are also great for adding spin to the ball and you can tell the difference. They're even better than the Adidas Predators for swerve in my opinion.

SC Serie is looking to be joining the indoor league this fall for the 6 a-side format (VENUE: Brampton Soccer Centre) for Men's Recreational (Sunday Afternoons/Evenings). We already have a team sponsor, and are at the moment looking for some players to add to our roster.

Kicks for Cancer Is Back!

This tournament was started in 1999 to honour the memory of Aeneas O’Leary. Aeneas was a loving father, husband, and dear friends to many. He, like many others, lost a long battle with cancer. His spirit lives on, and in order to pay tribute to him and all of those afflicted with cancer, we need you to get involved. Every year this tournament successfully brings the community together, across Brampton and the GTA. With over 250 participants and volunteers this event has raised more than $130,000…together we can kick this thing!

There is still room to get your soccer team registered for the 11th Annual Kicks for Cancer. This year’s tournament will be taking place Saturday, August 7th and Sunday, August 8th at Creditview/Sandalwood Park in Brampton. Only $350.00 gets a team of 18 into the tournament – great price! Also if you do not have the players but want to play yourself we’ll get you on a team!

We ask people to participate and raise funds for life saving research. So many people are affected by cancer today. 9 in 10 Canadians are affected – directly or indirectly through family and friends. Any of you out there want to be regular contributors to the blog/magazine portion of the site?

It's currently being used, mostly, to give out news - like rule changes, 52 page equipment slideshows, OSA lighting safety guides, etc... but we can really use it to bring the BAS community closer together by sharing footie related things we all love.

For instance, if any of you watch EVERY TFC game and want to put up match reviews, then there's an opportunity for that. I've tried doing it but I spend far too much time online working so when I finish up, I'm not always that eager to stay online and write reviews about DeRo's shuffle and DeGuzman's disappointment.

If any of you are interested, PM me and I'll get you set up.

don't tailgate their past dark - its proximity to condensed population has made it a haven for junkies and the subsequent police drive-by - they gave us a full cavity search just for being there after lights had gone off.

OK, so we had our game on Sunday at the 407 & Dixie, 6:15. After the game, the people who returned to the parking lot (two cars down from mine) had one of their windows smashed and the girlfriends purse was stolen. The couple immediately called the credit card company who told them that the slime bucket who smashed the car, just bought 2000$ of merch. at the near by Walmart, and were about to put another charge through on as she was on the phone.

People, please keep the valuables at home or well hidden. The Ali G necklace has no place at a soccer pitch... and should not be used to hang your ipod on as rear view mirror decoration. ALSO, every once in awhile take a look-see at the parking lot. I'm sure I speak for everyone, its better to ask a question or two if you see someone farting around - usually that just scares them off.

Hats off to Toronto's finest who came to the park quite quickly... and left just as fast... without ever getting out of their cars...
