Popped in to watch some of the CoEd semi's tonight and man, people have really got to learn how to relax a bit more. Every collision, every slightest bit of impact was vocally disputed and contested by each team. And from what I saw, the officials did very well, so it was needless.

Listen everyone - I DO NOT condone guys getting physical with girls. I don't. I think that extra caution should be taken during the match to ensure that some dude doesn't end up bodying a female into the walls by the changerooms. However, we all need to accept that every woman on the pitch has agreed, willingly I hope and if not there are bigger issues, to play CoEd soccer. On the field at the same time as boys. That said, incidental contact will occur. It IS going to happen.

If some yahoo is sprinting his fastest and swinging his arms like a maniac and decapitates a girl, then I can understand people getting upset. But if a guy receives a ball with his back to goal and as he turns his shoulder connects with a girl or perhaps she sticks her leg out from behind him and he stumbles over it... ...well, people shouldn't really be getting upset about stuff like that.

Anyway, that's my CoEd rant for the evening. To be honest, I always used to think it would be a great deal of fun to play CoEd, but the evidence is leading me to believe that it absolutely isn't.
